Are you on a budget journey and looking for ways to save money? These 15 affordable Valentines date ideas might be what you’re looking for!
I can’t believe Valentines Day is only 3 days away! For lots of people it means expensive dates.
It’s also our anniversary and every year we go out to eat at an expensive restaurant. This year that unfortunately may not be in the cards for us.
Kyle and I have started a budgeting journey recently and we’re trying really hard to stick with it.
I have come with a list of ideas to do this Valentines Day (or any date night really) that won’t break the bank!
15 Affordable Valentines Date Ideas!
- Plan a picnic at home. Lay out a blanket on the floor and cuddle up with some yummy treats.
- Write each other poems, love letters or a list of the things you love about your person.
- Give each other massages or take a bubble bath (only if you have a big tub otherwise it just isn’t fun being crammed lol).
- Have a game night playing all of your favourite games together!
- Reminisce through old keepsakes. I have a giant box of special mementos like every movie stub, plane tickets, notes, birthday cards, photos and other random things. It would be really fun to sit and go through this together and remember these special memories.
- Time capsules. Create time capsules together and open them at a later date, this would be a sweet memento.
- Favourite movies night. Each choose your favourite movie and watch them together!
- Fondue. Have a fun cheese or chocolate fondue night! So delicious!
- Fort and movie! Build a fort on the floor and cuddle up to watch some movies!
15 Affordable Valentines Date Ideas!
- Cook a meal together or have a cooking competition against each other!
- Pretend you’re on a “first date”. I got this idea from my friend Holly over at Holly’s Housewife Life . She had people send her lists of questions on instagram as “first date questions”. You can pretend that you’re getting to know each other! Lots of fun!
- Go for a walk together to the Public Gardens or to a beautiful park/trail.
- Drive to a spot with a great view and watch the stars together.
- Go on a coffee date together and enjoy some delicious coffee and treats together. Maybe try something new and order for the other person and see if you can choose something they’d like!
- Mini Putt! Go play a round of mini putt together! It’s not overly expensive and lots of fun, especially glow in the dark mini putt!
I hope these “15 Valentines Day Date Ideas That Won’t Break The Bank” give you some inspo for your special date night with your person.
