Happy weekend friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful summer! We are getting so excited for our new house to be built and today I wanted to share some coastal farmhouse living room inspo.
I don’t want our whole house to be coastal or farmhouse but I think it will look really gorgeous in our living room off of the dining/kitchen area.
I’m really excited to be able to sit and drink my coffee in the living room while looking out of the window into our gorgeous wooded backyard! Hopefully we’ll have some little critter friends too.
We plan on getting the same fireplace we had in our last home and building another DIY fireplace mantel like we did here. We may do built ins around it or floating shelves but we haven’t quite decided yet.

I definitely want lots of white with pops of blue and these pillows are just SO gorgeous!!! I love the tassels and pom pom details, so fun and pretty!
We absolutely love our grey Ikea ektorp sofa and definitely want to buy another for this living room area. I really wanted white for our old house but we knew that was an awful idea with the kids lol! Our forever home has two living room areas and I plan on having this one as just a relaxing/sitting area so I’ll try my best to keep the kids out (fingers crossed lol)! At least we can wash the sofa pretty easily and I’m going to try and find some spray to protect it too.
How gorgeous is this rug?! I absolutely love the colours and the vintage look, it’s so pretty! It’ll tie the room together nicely!
I really love the look of a round coffee table and I think the colour of this one goes so well with the rest of the pieces and our flooring we chose!
