Our family was recently invited for a fun day on the Halifax Waterfront and I wanted to share some of the fun things to do this summer!
We started our morning off on a sailing tour with J Farwell and it was absolutely amazing! The staff were so incredible and we somehow ended up being the only people on the boat that morning so we had the whole thing to ourselves! The sailboat was absolutely stunning and the kids couldn’t get over the fact that it had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen!! It was beautiful!

We sailed around the Halifax Harbour seeing all the beautiful sights and history. We were also able to help with some of the sailing process! The kids even received “official crew members” certificates when we were done and they were so happy.

We had such a blast doing the sailing tour and highly recommend checking them out here.
After our sailing tour, we strolled around the waterfront and then headed for lunch at the Waterfront Warehouse. They have the cutest patio with gorgeous umbrellas and pastel picnic tables! It was the perfect spot and the weather was so beautiful! It really was the perfect sunny day!

We started with oysters and they were perfect! We also had calamari and lobster ravioli, both were delicious as well. Kyle and I split a lobster roll and it was absolutely AMAZING, I honestly wish we didn’t split it LOL! The kettle chips are sooo good! Honestly, everything we ate, was so yummy!

After lunch we strolled around and checked out some of the cute shops and the kids played on the wave. You can’t visit the Halifax Waterfront without stopping by the wave! We stopped by High Seas (one of my favourites). They have the best salt water taffy with tons and tons of flavours! It’s sooo yummy! They also have some really cute sweaters and t-shirts!

We then headed to Sea House which has tons of great gifts and souvenirs! Their little Christmas ornaments were too cute and they even had a Halifax Transit bus (I should have gotten one). I picked up a new candle, a cute little coaster and I couldn’t leave without some maple syrup!

We then went and grabbed some of our favourite dessert…. Beavertails! Omg they’re so good and now I want one just thinking about them lol! Avalanche is our favourite, the cream cheese frosting and skor bits are just the tastiest combo!

We then strolled around some more and couldn’t leave without stopping by Cows for some of the famous ice cream! PEI blueberry is my favourite!! Their shop is so cute and has some many great things including pyjamas and even their own lip balms with ice cream flavours! I had to grab some for Kennedy!

We seriously had the perfect day on the Halifax waterfront and can’t wait to go back! There’s so much to do and see for everyone of all ages!
So if you’re in Nova Scotia and looking for some fun things to do this summer, make sure you stop by the Halifax Waterfront!
We just want to say a HUGE thank you to the Build Nova Scotia for this partnership and for such a wonderful experience! Although this was a paid opportunity, a blog post wasn’t part of the terms and I really just wanted to share the wonderful day we had.
